Purpose

The purpose of the Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities.

Principles

The Rovers/Rangers Movement is based on the following principles:

Duty to God

Adherence to spiritual principles, loyalty to the religion that expresses them and acceptance of the duties resulting there from.

Note: The word "Dharma" may be substituted for the word "God" if so desired.

Duty to Others

• Loyalty to one's country in harmony with the promotion of local, national and international peace, understanding, co-operation.

• Participation in the development of society with recognition and respect for the dignity of one's fellow men and for the integrity of the natural world.

Duty to Self

Responsibility for the development of oneself.

The Promise for the Rangers

"On my honour, I promise that I will do my best

To obey the Guide Law".

The Emblem

The Emblem of the Bharat Scouts and Guides is the Fleur-de-lis superimposed by the Trefoil with Ashok Chakra in the Centre of the Trefoil. The ratio of the length and breadth of the Emblem shall be 3:2.

Activities (2018-19)

1. Tree Plantation

Tree plantation program organized by forest department Nadaun Division on 09/08/2018. R&R unit participated in tree plantation near Tillu Dosarka area.

2. Swachh Bharat Pakhwada

As part of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada campaign, students of R&R Unit cleaned the Basketball ground on 21/08/2018.

3. Awareness against Drug

R&R unit students conducted a rally against drug abuse to create awareness against drug abuse, smoking, alcoholism and tobacco use on 12/09/2018.

4. Poshan Abhiyaan

Students of R&R unit participated in Poshan Abhiyaan campaign activities on 28/09/2018.

5. Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

R&R unit students participated in Mahatma Gandhi's birthday celebration and sang patriotic song "Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye" on 03/10/2018.

6. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Anniversary

Students took part in "Run For Unity" marathon celebrating Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel's birthday anniversary on 31/10/2018.

7. Sadbhavna Divas

Sadbhavana Divas was celebrated on 22/11/2018. R&R unit students participated actively and distributed flags among students.

8. Constitution Day

R&R unit students celebrated Constitution Day on 26/11/2018. Students took a pledge to uphold rights and duties for national unity.

9. Awareness Rally for AIDS

Students organized an awareness rally for HIV/AIDS and drug abuse using handmade posters and slogans. Campaign was flagged off by Vice Principal Sh. Chandan Bhardwaj on 01/12/2018.
